Celebrating the release of their new album, the Hyperions, that rather extraordinary trio of moody rockabilly surrealists, shall no doubt positively churn and burn the house down. Their freewheeling, stark brand of sci-fi bop bears very little relation to the gee-whiz-worthy affectation of the local pomp-pumpers; no recycled hillbilly cheer or mimicry from these cats. Rather, it's a smoldering, emotional blend of tribal beats and dissonant, skirling riffs delivered with a teeth gritting intensity and a sense of involvement so earnest that you'd be hard-pressed to find anything else similar. - LA Weekly
