ROUTE ONE SOUTH MUSIC CONFERENCE & FESTIVAL ’97

Preparations for Route One South ’97 are currently underway. Two days of panels, workshops, mentor programs and a trade show will be held at The Richmond Centre, 400 East Marshall Street, Richmond, VA. MAY 29 - JUNE 1 Sixty-plus vendors are expected to exhibit their wares in the trade show this year. The accompanying listening lounge and stage will enhance the proceedings.

Over 250+ bands will participate in 3 days of show- casing at over 20 venues. Brochures containing showcase and registration applications will be available in these locations:

Showcase applications are also available with a fax on demand feature at 1-800-333-7095. Press #9 and follow instructions. If all else fails, contact us and we’ll send one to you. Deadlines and fees for showcase applications are $15 by March 25th, and $20 late fee from March 26th to April 1st.

REGISTRATION Advanced registration for Route One South will be $85 by March 5th.From May 6th - May 26th $125, and $140 after May 27th. Registration forms are now available.

Music Conference This conference will bring together music business leaders, journalists and artists in over 30 panel discussions and workshops to discuss related topics in the music industry. The goal is to encourage growth and networking in the Mid-Atlantic and Eastern regions through shared ideas and experiences.

Music Festival This three night festival will feature live performances by over 250+ bands and artists from across the Mid-Atlantic and Eastern regions, as well as, nationally. They will highlight their talent to enthusiastic audiences and industry reps in over 16 Richmond venues. They will be given the opportunity to make direct contact with music leaders at the panels, mentor programs, and trade show held at the Richmond Centre in Richmond, VA. Marketing and Trade Show Meet with artists, labels, studios, and key businesses in the music industry at the Route One South Trade Show. Here will be an excellent opportunity for a registrant to connect with the right persons to encourage growth in a music career.
